- Up to Key West, FL
- Calica, Mexico
Phew, I'm done! Flickr emails were going to my spam folder, I sorted it out so now I know when people are commenting.
Some things that I didn't mention:
- My mother won $600 at the casino. My sane aunt won $300. Greg and I won over $20 but played it back.
- We had PLENTY to eat as there were buffets available all day long. So us missing our 8:30pm dinners weren't a big deal. On top of that, there was room service which was included as well.
That's all for now!

I'm going to try my HARDEST not to make this long! Ok, first off I got the itinerary wrong, we didn't got to Caymen Islands or Ocho Rios but we still had lots of fun! Pictures of my mother and aunts won't be included in the flickr set, yanno for safety and stuff. So far I've only uploaded up to the point where I broke my mother's camera. My body is beat down (I'll update why later), I have to go to sleep! I'll upload more tomorrow. Here are the pictures! - remember this isn't the full set of pictures, there's plenty more left to upload. You all better read what I have to say below first, lol!
November 28th - I managed to break my cellphone before the limo came and got us. I grabbed my phone to put it in my purse, it slipped out my hands and hit the edge of my mother's coffee table and cracked the inside of the front display and destroyed the whole screen inside. It only lights up white, I can see nothing else. While on the way to OHare in the limo I realized that I had left the battery and charger to my Canon Rebel charging in my mother's kitchen. I thought ok fine I'll use my mother's camera, after all the Canon Rebel is too bulky for this trip anyway. Getting situated at the airport was a piece of cake, we did roadside check ins for $2 per bag to keep from having to wait in those long lines best described by Kevin James on Sweat The Small Stuff. Me and Greg had a ball demonstrating his airport jokes, lol. Sometime in between my face broke out into hives and Greg's neck broke out as well. We arrived in Miami in no time, we got our luggage and took a taxi to the Amerisuites hotel in the Doral, FL area. Our African/Jamaican whatever taxi driver had an attitude that I didn't like. Our travel agent told us that the hotel was close to the airport and it seemed like we had to go over the river and through the woods to get there, that's when my mother asked just how close to the airport is the hotel. In a terribly annoyed and snappy way the driver was like Maam you have to go around the airport you can't cut through. Ok she didn't ask for all that, ahole :yearight:. When we tried to check into the hotel the staff said that they didn't have any rooms cleaned and that check in time was like 3pm, it was 11am when we got there!!! We sat in the lobby for about an hour waiting, we were all STARVING, luckily there was a Burger King nearby. I scarfed down my food and right when I was going to start really complaining one of the guys at the desk said our rooms were ready! Greg and I got the TCB suite, it had a kitchenette with dining table and chairs a chase lounge and business desk. I didn't get to take pictures. After we got our rooms, Greg and I fell out for the day.
November 29th - We had to check out of the hotel at 11am but we weren't supposed to be boarding the ship until like 3pm, luckily we were able to come early. Before going to the Port of Miami Greg and I took a trip to Walmart to grab some essentials where everyone spoke spanish. My mother had some mouthwash and other liquids in her carry ons and OHare took them from her, lol. They almost took my body butter and shea butter cream from my purse but the guy just told me to remember next time to put them in ziplocks. I was ready to give them up too, I don't like being held up in the airport. So after shopping Greg called a cab to pick us up and he was of course unsure of what Walmart we were at so he gave the taxi company landmarks. The
w
itchy lady that answered told him how hard is it to find the address? Figure it out and call back! *click* You know she deserved a good cursing out but we HAD to get back to the hotel! Fast forward, boarding the ship was a piece of cake. One of my aunt's was in a wheelchair (she can walk when she WANTS to) so we didn't have to wait in any lines.
November 30th - We arrived in Key West, Florida, the land of roosters and hens! Greg had a ball chasing the chickens, we later found out that you can get fined and thrown in jail for chasing them, lol! We took a trolly from the boat and the first thing we did was go in a gift shop. My genius aunt (the one that my mother takes care of in the wheelchair) lost her insulin somewhere so my mother and other aunt had to go to CVS (didn't have a pharmacy) then to Walgreens to get her some more. Greg and I explored and took pictures, then I dropped my mother's camera on the ground trying to give it to Greg so that I could take a picture behind one of those boards where you stick your face in. The camera's lens jammed so it was no good. We then hiked to CVS and Walgreens looking for my mother and aunt's, we picked up another camera at Walgreens. All was well after we bought another camera but we couldn't find my mother and aunts, they had been looking for us and decided to go back to the ship. Greg and I picked up a few souvenirs and then headed back where we found them waiting for us at the entrance. We only had a few hours to stay in Key West so my mother and aunt were both mad that they had to spend that time hiking for insulin for my aunt! Everything after that was a blur, lol.
December 1st - We arrived in Calica, Mexico. We were docked there for over 8 hours so there was plenty of time to explore. We had to take a taxi over to the shopping area. We paid for a taxi only to find out that only 4 people could ride in one and we were traveling as 5. The driver said we'd have to get another taxi just for that one extra person, psssh. My aunt (the sane one) decided to catch a ride with someone who didn't need all 4 of their seats. Overall we had a really good time in Calica. My mother and aunt made my other aunt walk (she needs to stop being lazy and do the things that she can do). By an hour she was talking about she was ready to go. She just had to sit down until everyone else was ready, we weren't going to do things around her. She slept most of the cruise away.
December 2nd - Greg and I tanned and enjoyed activities on the boat. We played bingo and needed 1 more number to be called before the winner said BINGO. Grrr! That $250 belonged to us, lol. We went to this Newly Wed game, it was funny watching the couples play. It would have been more fun had we been up on stage because I would have had some funny answers to those questions. Our travel agent threw a thank you party and the drinks were free, again Greg loved this. She gave us all discount coupons to use on our next trip. We have a year to redeem them, they may come in handy. Greg and I have like $100's worth, I forgot to ask if we can use them all at once.
December 3rd - My 21st Birthday!!!! It was spent getting home, the end. Ha! We arrived at my mother's house after 11pm, so yes my birthday was spent getting off the ship, then in the Miami airport for over 6 hours and then on the plane, O'Hare (our bags got loaded late probably because $4 tip wasn't good enough for the roadside guy who had no business asking for a tip in the 1st place.), then the ride back to my mother's.
Pre-birthday was great. We all had a really good time. It was an experience. We had no problems on the ship, the staff was great. They pushed liquor down our throats without carding us. Greg really enjoyed that. I enjoyed virgin daiquiri's since my body has been going through some questionable changes. They were soooo good! Greg and I didn't make any of our dinner's because our dinner time was at 8:30pm. I was so tired by 7pm each day (I had a reason to be). Greg kept calling me a party pooper. Next time we'll specify that we want the 5pm dinner. I have to tell you guys about the Stewards, they cleaned our rooms like 3 times a day and every time they did, they'd fold our toilet paper into a triangle at the end! It was like they were obsessive, lol. Greg left his underwear up on the ceiling air conditioner for laughs, they didn't touch them! There were few old people on the ship, some of my friends warned me that there might be a lot of old folks aboard. It was mostly couples and families, no children got out of line. One little girl about 2yrs old came running to get on the elevator with me and Greg, her mother caught her JUST in time. We almost had a daughter! The cruise was great, me and Greg had fun reciting quotes from Titanic. Put your life belts on! Put your life belts on! We must go again!

A few minutes ago I got a call from "UBCF" in Chicago. Of course I didn't answer, but I looked up "UBCF" and was directed to the United Breast Cancer Foundation. So I thought Ok, maybe they want a donation so I donated on the website, if you haven't already, consider doing so. This call I wouldn't consider telephone spam, I know they got our number because it's listed, I'll make an exception for them.
We are part of the National Do Not Call Registry to keep telemarketers from calling. They were driving me nuts calling about newspapers and magazines when we first moved. I also screen unknown numbers in the Directory of Unknown Callers.
I know receiving unknown calls are peeves to us all, so I wanted to share these resources, the National Do Not Call Registry and Directory of Unknown Callers. If these don't help, have your kid answer the phone like Tanyetta does .

I'm currently unhappy about something internet related. A lot of people are in rage because it has affected them. No it isn't drama, Sheena doesn't get herself into that stuff. I won't go into detail about it, if you're smart you'll already know what I'm talking about. I won't let it get me down though. Sometimes all good things must come to an end. I have other things brewing in my pot so I'm not going to complain too much.
We need to go grocery shopping, hope we don't run into any weirdos since we aren't going to be traveling 20 minutes out of our way tonight. I'm going to pick up a few extra snacks to cheer myself up. Notice my turkey ^up there in my header? *gobble* *gobble* Nite.

So today I obviously had to clean the litterbox a little earlier than expected because his bomb was super fonkay. As I proceeded to grab the bag of soiled litter out of the box I told Greg about a time when Simba dropped a bomb at my mother's house while one of my cousins were visiting. Greg being rude, screamed Would you just get the KITTER LITTER!. A great laugh at his expense .
